Hello there! I hope you’re all doing fine. I’ve got some big piece of news: I’m temporally giving up my hobby to dedicate myself fully to university stuff. Results are not as good as they should be and that means I need to work harder. In order to that I must give up everything that might be distracting my from giving my most at university. This doesn’t mean I won’t upload any picture, I may upload some, but it will become rare from now on, I’m afraid! :S
I’ve just spent some days at home and have travelled to France in order to take some shots there. They have been extremely successful at Flickr and I am really flattered. I can only say thank you for such an AMAZING amount of criticism received since I started at photography. Without you, I would be nothing.
THANKS FOR READING AND I HOPE TO BE BACK SOON.

N̶O̶T̶ THE END O̶F̶ ̶T̶H̶E̶ ̶W̶O̶R̶L̶D̶
Hi, first of all thanks for reading.
I’m updating today because I’m having a though time and I think that writing about my problems may help me to solve them. As you probably know, I’m studying civil engineering at university, and things are not going as I expected. I’ve always had good results at school without even having to dedicate much time to studying, but my results at university so far are being a complete disaster.
However I do hope to work harder than ever from now on (and probably in summer too) in order to fulfill this big objective of mine that is to become an engineer and to start a new life in a new country under the protection that only a high qualification can provide me.
Also not being at home is not helping me much. I miss both my home and my family quite a lot, even more than I thought I would. Here I’m just fine, but I know I would be much better at home.
I feel quite alone here, which is something that may seem helpful to help me with university stuff (ie: concentration and so on), but much to my surprise it doesn’t help at all. I’ve met some nice people both at college and at university but I do miss the people I was sharing my life with a year ago.
Hi. I’m just updating the blog for the last time this year to wish you a great 2013. As fas as I’m concerned I’m sure it won’t be as good as 2012, mainly because 2012 has been such a great year… I hope it’s a good year anyway in spite of the enormous difficulties Spain and its people are going through because of the incapacity our country’s rulers.
HAVE A GREAT YEAR!
Hi there! I think it’s time to update after nearly 5 months haha. You can imagine why I haven’t done so before. I’ve been quite busy (as I always say
) this time with university stuff. What is university like? Well, even though it’s quite hard, I’m having a great time there. As you probably know I’m studying civil engineering in Santander. I’m having a tough time because I find every subject REALLY difficult, but I’m working very hard to try and pass as most subjects as possible.
As far a photography is concerned I haven’t done much lately mainly because of university stuff (again!) but I have done some though. I’m also happy because of partnership with Getty Images. I am not into photography because of economic reasons but it’s always nice to receive some help or some recognition.
I’m hoping to take some Christmas related shots, and dedicate a minute to write another update before Janyary, but just in case:
Take care of yourself and have a merry Christmas and a happy 2013!
Hi! I’m back home after travelling all the way through eastern Europe. I have just visited Budapest, Prague and Vienna, and also Amsterdam, which is not in eastern Europe but it’s worth a visit aswell.
I have taken loads of pictures in all those places, and overall had a great time there. Keep tunned to see the pictures, and if you have any specific question about any of those cities, or about my impression about them, you may well ask me. I’ll be happy to answer.
Cheers and enjoy your summer.
Hi! It’s has been a long time
I have been REALLY busy with school stuff, but it’s all over now, school is OVER, and I feel quite sad about it. It has been a great experience and I’ve made some good friends there, but it’s now time to move on to University. Hopefully I’ll be studying civil engineering from now on. But before that, there’s summer ahead. This is my last week home, before travelling around Europe visiting several cities such as Budapest, Prague and Amsterdam, among others. I’ll try to make the most out of this trip and take some good shots in these cities.
Keep tunned, and take care!
Hi there.
Not much happening right now.Today I’ve finished uploading the pictures I took during my trip to Italy. I have uploaded 100 of them, some of which are quite good (I think). Others are just random pictures. You can check the whole album here: http://www.flickr.com/david_crespo
This is my third and last holiday week, it’s incredible how quickly time goes by when you are on holiday!
This last week, I have been quite bored. I have been sick and because of that I have not done much really. As a result this boredom, I have opened a profile on ask.fm, here you have it so that you can ask me anything (it has been quite fun so far!): http://ask.fm/inFocusDC
Take care!
I know I promised I would update the blog regularly while being abroad, but it has been impossible. It was difficult to find wi-fi sometimes, and I couldn’t use 3G connections on Italy. Nevertheless there are also some good news, it has been a great trip in which I have taken LOADS of pictures. I am now in the process of editing and uploading them to my different sites, such as Flickr, Facebook, 500px and so on.
What can I tell you about the trip? As you probably now it was a school trip to “commemorate” that is our last year at school. We have visited many cities around Italy, for instance: Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, Siena, Pisa and so on, apart from Bordeaux, which is the place we took the plane at.
It was real fun travelling with 50 people going upwards and downwards through such a big amount of cities and its monuments. On the other hand I am quite sad because I know that I am really going to miss my school.
Please keep tunned in order to see the pictures I have taken during my trip. I hope you like them!
If you have any specific question regarding the trip you may ask me, I’ll be happy to answer you
Cheers.
Well, here I am trying to fulfill my promise (to update my blog at least every Friday). It seems an easy thing, but believe me, it’s NOT.
I am up to my eyes with so many stuff right now that I really feel overwhelmed. Firstly there’s all the school stuff. I’ve had two exams this week (three really), on Philosophy (two here) and on Maths. Next week I’ve got another two, Spanish History and Physics, which means that I will spend the whole weekend studying, trying to learn by heart so many details and information, that I do not even know what to begin with.
Plus, I have been asked by my school to take some photographs during the St-Patricks Day Celebration held today, (given that the school I attend to is called St-Patrick’s English School, you can understand how relevant this celebration is). It has been good fun to do so, but it has also been exhausting. Furthermore, I’ve still got to edit nearly 100 pictures, before handing them in at school on Monday.
If all that wasn’t enough, I am ALSO, stressed with the fact that in 5 days I’ll be off for a trip for 10 days (to Italy). Of course, it’s a great thing, and I can really not wait to do so, but because I am up to my eyes with school stuff, I can not look up for good places to shoot in, during our visit to several Italian cities.
Finally I’d also like to mention that I’ve started using this week my new D7000. It’s an amazing camera, and I have already felt in love with her. I feel we’ll become close friends soon.
Thanks for reading my boring life.
(I’ll try to write another update from Italy, but I can’t promise anything).
